The Egg takes on Butch Auntie

In preparation for Glastonbury, grand performers The Egg have taken on Butch Auntie as their live VJ-ing partner.  Following in the footsteps of the mighty Todd Graft, Auntie will be giving their live shows the benefit of her years of experience.

The Egg's visuals are triggered and sequenced by the band's stage equipment, and allow a rich experience for their dedicated audiences.

The Tabernacle - Notting Hill
Our recent Bright Structures outing to The Tabernacle was well received, with guests of the Rainbow Collections Children's Foundation arriving in Notting Hill.  £30,000 was raised from the Auction inside the building - in benefit of a school in Africa which badly needed repair and resources.

Butch Auntie's team was asked to decorate the intricate architecture of this unusual London venue, bringing it to life with animations inspired by the charity and their cause.

Butch Auntie - Bestival 2007

This tightly orchestrated Live Show was rehearsed with the fantastic Eric Kleptone for his DJ set at Bestival 2007. With some serious collaboration in the weeks running up to the event, we created some blistering bespoke material which was driven by Eric's own mixing software - kicking off video samples in time with the music, accompanying Butch Auntie's Live Mix. See how the crowd reacted here!:

Butch Auntie VJs - BBC Radio 1's Bobby Friction

Bespoke VJ team Butch Auntie built a set for this great concept-event organised by BBC Radio 1's Bobby Friction. An ecclectic fusion of such bombastic music is quite a task to prepare for visually, - but as usual, Auntie rolled up her sleeves and did herself proud!...

"Award winning BBC Radio 1 DJ BOBBY FRICTION, presents his own club night FRICTION which is set to bring a new lease of life into the Asian Underground music scene.

Each and every month, Friction is curated by BOBBY FRICTION himself and will showcase the elite artists of Asian Music; both live acts and DJ's.

Friction is a fusion of East meets West, Desi meets Urban Electronica in a celebration of the Asian underground. Each artist is hand picked by Bobby himself so expect to see the crème de la crème of exciting, fresh artists alongside leading world class tastemakers in one of the most unique settings in the UK."

Butch Auntie - Moving Wallpaper / Ambient Reel

This Reel shows a small selection of Auntie's work covering Parties and Events which required an approach akin to lighting & decorating a venue for the client.

Whether a themed party, or introducing subtle elements of branding into a corporate event, Auntie's team created animations to tight briefs and frequently tight deadlines!

These examples show off the more sedate side of Butch Auntie's work, mixed live to create a dynamic environment for the event's guests.

Butch Auntie - Themed Party Visuals

Butch Auntie's Event work is frequently based around specific themes and sources for private parties. Whether our clients are holding a fancy-dress ball to celebrate a special occasion, or marking a new product launch with a film-flavoured bang! - Auntie's talents at mixing bespoke and licensed material in sync with the event's music is second to none...
