Butch Auntie's Event work is frequently based around specific themes and sources for private parties. Whether our clients are holding a fancy-dress ball to celebrate a special occasion, or marking a new product launch with a film-flavoured bang! - Auntie's talents at mixing bespoke and licensed material in sync with the event's music is second to none...
Buenos Aires Tango - Wilton's Music Hall, Tower Bridge, London
Wilton’s Music Hall is the last surviving and oldest grand music hall in the world. From 1859 - for close on 30 years – Wilton’s was alive with the magic of classical overtures, opera, choral, folk, dance, burlesque, circus acts, comedy and contemporary songs. 1500 people used to cram into the music hall to hear the top acts of the day. Auntie's visit to Wilton's Music Hall was a 70th Birthday Party for the recently deceased Christian Wolffer, millionaire wine-grower. The party was themed around 1950s Buenos Aires Tango, with other Argentinean influences. We accompanied live performances, act as a backdrop to some hired Tango-dancers - and a fab disco at the end of the night.
James Bond Party! - Marrakech, Morocco
One of our most exotic outings to date was at the exclusive Armanjena Hotel near Marrakech, Morrocco. For this unusual event we spent a full month liasing with the client for this vibrant James Bond themed night, put together by party organisers The Admirable Crichton.
Following the client's requests we created a large pallette of 007 inspired animation, graphics and montages to help create a distintive mood at this lavish event.
Performing alongside DJ Matt Braddock's Bond remixes, we mixed video and fx in time with some great music, and to memorable effect.
Projecting onto large screens, waterfalls and also the interior of the Hotel's vast walls - We used our full repertois to fill the space.
As the evening went on we brought in elements fron our extensive video library to keep the crowd dancing.
South Pacific Party - Fulham Palace, London
The Admirable Crichton called in Auntie once again to supply bespoke visuals for a rather unusual party! Here we built and produced animations and samples around the theme of the movie South Pacific, entertaining Dinner and Dance guests who were treated to a live performance from the West End show! Auntie's visuals we cut to the hawaiian beats of Glenn Perera from Sound Artist Management - keeping the crowd hula-ing and supping from The Admirable Crichhton's lavish pacific island themed dancefloor.
